UNTANGLED is hull #23 of only 25 of the S-1330 built by Spencer Yachts LTD.
The Spencer 1330 is best known for being sturdy and comfortable in heavy seas. It has phenonmal sailing capabilities and a roomy interior. There is an enclosure for the aft cockpit which additional panels down below. UNTANGLED has three rigid solar panels mounted on top of the enclosure. The boat is also equipped with a diesel heater to keep warm when the thick marine layer comes rolling in. She is deep without a lot of ports which will help keep her cool during the months you are sailing her south of the border and beyond.
The vessel is constructed of fiberglass with composite cored deck and superstructure. The hull/deck joint is well fastened with stainless steel bolts through the aluminum toe rail on 12″ centers. She is a sloop rigged vessel with a raked stem, curved stern, fin keel and a partial skeg hung rudder. The construction of the S-1330 provides two main bulk heads and smaller intermediates to support the vessel.
The bottom was painted in December of 2020 with two coats of Petit Trinidad.

UNTANGLED has a very deep and roomy interior with 6’5″ headroom. If you’re going cruising, which the current owners did, there is plenty of room for storage. The forward and aft cabin are separate providing privacy. The salon with folding table provides plenty of space for hosting friends and family.
The forward v-berth cabin includes a work station making those boat projects a bit simpler. Aft is the step in shower (port) and head with vanity (starboard). The salon is located mid-ship with a u-shaped settee to port and settee to starboard. On the port side is the galley which is equipped with a Force 10 propane stove, large/deep double stainless steel sinks, on demand fresh water pump and a Spectra water maker. The larger than life chart table/navigation station is across from the galley on the port side. The aft cabin is to starboard aft of the galley and engine. There is new LED lighting that has been installed throughout the boat.
The following work was performed on the standing rigging in 2017:
