BOAT INFORMATION

THE FLYING PENGUIN is a blue water racer/cruiser from what many consider Beneteau’s golden age. The solid fiberglass hull is built to official French Offshore Standards (similar to Lloyds rating). Set up to sail single handed you could race, or bring along friends and family; there’s plenty of room.

She has an open foredeck with a bow roller, plow anchor, covered anchor well with chain and rode, and a back-up Fortress anchor.

Rigged with a roller furling genoa and removable inner forestay. She has sleek, low profile, cabin top. Designed with an aft cockpit and moderate height coaming providing a backrest for cockpit seating and comfortable positions when heeled.

Cabin access is through a sliding hatch with 2 removable wash boards. The boat also features an uncommon sun roof companionway cover which allows more light and ventilation below.

At the base of the companionway is the main salon with a teak and holly cabin sole. Interior teak cabin trim is in excellent condition. To port there is a well designed, L-shaped galley with 2-burner propane stove/oven, top access 12v Frigo refrigerator, and twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurized water, plus lots of storage.
To Starboard is the forward facing navigation station and enclosed head with sink, manual toilet, and overhead shower.

Going forward is a L-shaped settee/berth to port, large folding table on the center line, and a single settee/berth to starboard. Forward is the enclosed V-berth with a large opening hatch above and storage below. Aft of the galley to port is an enclosed double berth cabin. The engine and fuel tanks are under the companionway steps. Aft of the head to starboard is an enclosed cabin with two single bunk berths.
