EN EL CORDERO has an interior one might expect in a much larger yacht, in a hull with superb sailing character. The salon and galley area has a large, new Lexan skylight and is exceptionally bright with a functional, pleasing layout boasting 6’6″ headroom throughout.

This design offers excellent accommodations for two couples (with the potential of a third couple plus an additional single in the main salon). Both the forward and aft staterooms are “Master” in every respect: berth size, stowage, finish and private complete heads with showers. The dining table can easily accommodate seating for 6 adults or convert to a third berth.

Enter via the companionway from the large cockpit. Down several steps, where the nav station and wet locker are to starboard and entry to the aft stateroom is to port.

The engine compartment is centrally located beneath the galley sinks and storage lockers, with access ports in the aft stateroom and the side of the compartment. Removal of the entire sink unit provides access to the entire engine. Access to the aft head is through the aft stateroom or the galley port side and immediately forward.  There is a large double berth in the aft stateroom with a vanity area located at the bullkhead to the engine compartment.

Across to port from the galley sinks are the stove and oven, refrigeration and counter storage.
Moving forward, the u-shaped convertible dinette is to port, with a straight settee to starboard, providing seating for 6-8 people. The forward head with shower is next to the large v-berth on the port side.

There is teak and holly sole throughout with eight opening ports and five opening hatches, including a large opening hatch in the salon and one directly over the galley. Interior cabinetry and joinery has a gloss teak finish throughout. Storage is abundant, with plenty of lockers and drawers available for extended cruising.

The galley is large and fully outfitted for living onboard, U-shaped for offshore security with a centerline sink that drains on either tack. The refrigerator and freezer are large and insulated. There is great ventilation from opening hatches and opening ports. Excellent “all around” engine access is offered via hinged opening.
