BOAT INFORMATION
This Wauquiez Centurion 47, is a proven ocean passage maker ready to go again with little more than you and your provisions. This sloop is in good working order and it’s priced right so that you can get going without emptying your wallet.
As you enter the cabin from a bridge deck in front of the cockpit the galley is to Port with a great Nav station forward. To Starboard is a large fixed dining table and storage for goodies and a large refrigerator installed at chest level. On either side of the companionway ladder are quarter berth areas, one with a queen berth the other with stacked sea berths. A head connects the two cabins aft of the companionway.
Forward of the main bulkhead is the owners stateroom with a settee to port and a Pullman queen bed to Starboard. All cabins are lined with teak paneling and teak cabinetry which gives Gazelle a very comfortable feeling.
Forward of the owners stateroom is a large head compartment with a standup shower and forward from there is a sail locker/ workspace with a huge sliding hatch overhead.
The floorboards are teak and holly laminates, still in good condition.
This boat shows its age gracefully and was built to last. With a series of refits over the past five years there isn’t a system that’s been neglected. There are heaps of spares for mechanical equipment too.
The well maintained teak deck features a no nonsense layout with a safe deep cockpit and well positioned gear. With lazyjacks and jiffy reefing, handling the Vectran mainsail is a snap.
DARING ADVENTURE is a handsome boat that looks good under sail and at anchor and with her shallow draft you’ll be able to get into places only smaller boats can venture into. Come along and write your own story.
