QUE SERA SERA is the traditional 2 cabin dinette layout, with a single head. Entering through the wide and comfortable companionway, you immediately notice the open and airy welcome the Catalina 36 offers. There is a large “U” shaped galley to port, and to starboard is the aft stateroom, which has storage in drawers and hanging lockers, a large seating area, and a large double bed. berth.
Forward of the aft stateroom is the nav station with a swing out chair. The salon is spacious and very ventilated with opening hatches and windows. The dinette is mid-ship on the port side, with a large seating area, that lowers down and converts to a double berth. Adjacent to the dinette is a long sofa, that can be converted to two chairs and a center table.
Storage is one thing Catalina is known for and the 36 Mark II is not lacking – with ample cabinets, drawers, closets, and lockers behind and below cushions. Moving forward through the galley ,to starboard, there is cabinetry with drawers and a large area that houses the TV, which could also easily be converted to a coffee station, cocktail bar or even an electric fireplace. The large “wet” head is to port, with a new Jabsco pump and head hoses (replaced in 2019) that have only seen freshwater use. Forward is a large stateroom and V-berth, with drawers and hanging locker. Highlights include:
